KATHRYN EILEEN PALMROSE Kathryn was born in Eureka on November 14, 1965, the youngest of three daughters of Robert and Margie Palmrose. Kathryn was strong-willed, made friends easily and was a good conversationalist. She loved visiting with friends and family, laughing out loud and wasn't afraid to laugh at herself. She enjoyed camping, lakes, Trinity white water rafting, and a Canadian sailing trip. She was a softy for all dogs and cats. As a child, she had fun on annual family vacations, skating and playing the violin. She was a member of Bluebirds and Campfire Girls. She attended local schools, graduating from Fredrick and Charles Beauty College. Kathryn worked at Haynes Insurance, Pacific Paper Company, as a teacher's assistant for Lonnie Magellen, Eureka Seafood Grotto, Dr. John Disiere, and was self-employed house sitting/cleaning. She is survived by her father Robert A. Palmrose and his wife Jeanne, Eureka, and Robert's grandson Trevor David; her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Terry Brightman, Klamath, where she spent long weekends with friends and with whom she made several trips with to San Francisco and the Oregon coast. She is also survived by numerous cousins and step-sisters. She is preceded in death by her mother Margie (Davis) and older sister Janice (William Gonsalves), Tigard, OR.; her grandparents Arthur and Martha (Palmrose) Wilson, Walter and Marion (Vallerga) Grubbs, Edward and Mildred (Bryant) Davis. Kathryn died suddenly on November 24, 2015, at a friend's house in Hoopa, CA. She had just delighted in a 50th birthday celebration in Eureka! She had many good and trusted friends throughout the years, who are appreciated for their support and consideration of her. (Credit: times-standard.com, obituaries)
